OVERALL IMAGING SOLUTION
Zed Medical provides a complete imaging solution that is composed of Disposable Ultrasound Array-Sensors, wiring that connects the sensors to a Patient Interface Module, and an Imaging Engine that forms and enhances images and presents them to the user.
The overall solution consists of the following components:

SYNTHETIC APERATURE IMAGING ASIC
The heart of Zed Medical’s ultrasound capability is an ASIC that provides synthetic aperture ultrasound imaging.
“Chip on Tip” Technology moves the ultrasound front-end into the body.
The chips are “configurable” to operate arrays as small as 16 elements and as large as 128 elements.
ULTRASOUND ARRAY-SENSOR – pMUT
Zed Medical’s pMUT disposable ultrasound array-sensor provides a side scanning image from within a 6 Fr. catheter with electromagnetic tracking.
ULTRASOUND ARRAY-SENSOR – PZT
Zed Medical’s PZT Array-Sensors provides a cylindrical scanning image from within a 3.2 Fr. catheter with physiological sensing.
This device is the smallest cylindrical array currently available.
PATIENT INTERFACE MODULE
The Patient Interface Module provides physical connection, programming, control, patient isolation and signal transmission.
IMAGING ENGINE
The Imaging Engine provides high resolution intrabody imaging, co-registration of physiological sensor inputs, and electromagnetic tracking (Navigation).
Our framework enables remote configuration of the imaging pipeline, configurable processing stages/nodes, multiple image viewers, and advanced network fault tolerance.
